Day 20... Geode

Today we cracked open a geode that we bought up in shop in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. My daughter is learning about earth science right now in homeschool, so we thought it would be fun. The geode was about the size of a baseball. I thought it would just split in half, but it broke into four pieces. I also thought it might be more colorful inside. While it is muted in color, it has some interesting facets and I am so glad my kids got to have this experience.
